History of Agrawal Classes:
Prof. G.D. Agrawal launched this coaching institute in 1953 by the name "Agrawal Mathematics Tutorials", from his residence at Matunga.

In the initial 7 to 8 years, the coaching was only for Maths of the Inter Arts/Science of Bombay University, by the lone teacher - Prof. G D Agrawal.

Within 4 years, Agrawal students started securing top-most ranks. In 1958, its student, Joshi Vijay stood First at Bombay University's Inter exams and in 1959, Koppikar Vivek created history by scoring 200/200 marks in Maths at the Inter Science University exam.

The initial success of its students encouraged more students to enrol. The institution became "Agrawal Classes" and moved to Har Ganga Mahal, Dadar T.T. in 1961.

When Agrawal Classes started coaching for I.I.T.JEE to Bombay students in 1962, their student, V D Hattangadi, secured the most enviable ALL India Rank ONE in the maiden year itself. The departments of Physics, Chemistry and English were added for the purpose of I.I.T. JEE coaching.

1976 saw the shift from 11+4 to 10+2+3 system of education for a bachelor's degree and thus HSC board Class XII became the deciding year for admission to institutes of higher learning. Here again our student Raja N.S. stood first at the 1977 maiden HSC Board exams.

Similarly when MH CET & engineering CET were introduced in 1999 & 2004 respectively for entrance to medical & engineering colleges in Maharashtra, we offered coaching for it and have produced top results.
